Initially some 20 Retirees conducted a golfing group which played regularly at Malvern Valley Golf Course on Thursdays.
Numbers increased to over 80 by 1985 and with a full administration being developed through these early years, Scotchman's Creek Golf Club was established.
A constitution was adopted in 1989 and incorporation followed in 1990. The Club has continued to grow and prosper under the management of its various Committees.
These Committees work to achieve the Club's purpose which is to operate a Club which encourages the playing of golf competitions and events as defined in The Rules of Golf and The Rules of Amateur Status, whilst encouraging strong social interaction between members and being supportive of members' welfare.
The Club is men only and membership presently stands around 120, the bulk of whom are 65 years of age or over and no longer working full time.
New members will discover the Scotchman's Creek Golf Club is one of the friendliest Golf Clubs in Melbourne.
We constantly strive to nurture a spirit of mate ship among members, each of who appreciate how their Club contributes to their personal fitness, individual welfare and enjoyment of life.
